The votes are in! As a church family we have decided to start meeting one Sunday per month at the church and host in house watch parties (or watch individually) the rest of the month during phase 2.
Next Sunday, June 28th we will open the church for onsite worship service at 6:30 pm. Then in July we will meet Sunday the 26th. UNLESS everything changes as we enter phase 3. (Fluid is the current buzzword.)
Due to the challenges of Washington state’s safe start rules, things will look a little different.
Safety regulations for Phase 2 require: seating in separate groups with 6 feet spacing between household units. Household groups should sit together. (Allowances may be made for individuals who are part of a 5 person limited contact group with a designated household unit.) We are limited to 25% capacity. With our small church that means 8 adults and 2 children inside. We will set up chairs and a speaker for overflow seating of 8 people outside. In order to assure seating for those who come, we ask that you use the sign up using the link on the bottom of this letter. We will also put sign up links on our facebook, instagram and twitter pages. All staff and visitors are required to wear face coverings both inside and outside before, during and after services. (We have some disposable masks available but as these are limited supplies we highly encourage you to bring your own.)
As a church we have taken measures to maintain a safe, clean space. As a part of these measures and due to face mask requirements, we will not be able to resume providing our communal meals or refreshments just yet. I encourage you to arrange to meet others at a local restaurant before or after church. (Check availability and group size restrictions ahead of time.) Alternatively, bring a sack dinner and meet up ahead of time in a local park.
I know this is not the church experience we all know and love. Some may choose to continue to stay home for online services. That’s okay! However, please note that our live stream service time will change to 10 a.m. as it is near impossible for us to host online while simultaneously conducting a live physical service. As always, recordings of past services are available on our website. Going forward, I will have these up and running by 11 a.m. Sunday mornings.
Please know that I am praying for you all. I love and miss our church family gatherings and hope to see you all soon.
Be blessed and be a blessing,
